Background
On June 28, 2023, The Molalla City Council passed Resolution No. 2023-18 "A Resolution of the City of Molalla, Oregon, Calling a Measure Election for General Obligation Bonds". This Resolution supports a 26-year bond to fund a new police station to serve the Molalla area. Scroll to bottom of the page to read the full Resolution.
What This Means For The Community

- Community space for events and meetings
- Safe spaces for victim support
- Separation of public use areas from police operations
- Temporary custody areas for both adults and juveniles
- Police can stay local to protect our community saving tax dollars
- Police equipment and vehicles are securely stored reducing risk and cost to taxpayers for repairs/replacement
- Peace of mind that the officers hired to protect Molalla and the surrounding areas will have the tools and resources necessary to operate at the highest level.

- A more secure location to process suspects and criminals
- Adequate space for officers to conduct business, hold meetings, and training
- Appropriate storage and spaces for evidence management
- Modern safety features and built to withstand earthquakes and other disasters and an emergency operations center for coordination
- More time in Molalla rather than transporting suspects and criminals to other cities
- Secure spaces for vehicles and separate personnel restrooms and lockers
